Joss Whedon struck a chord with the kids when he came out with a TV adaptation that was actually superior to the movie it came from, Buffy The Vampire Slayer. Along the way, as Buffy scored big time in the ratings, a character from the show, Angel (David Boreanaz), a vampire who has had enough with picking on the humans, became popular enough to warrant his own series. And so it goes that the vampire Angelus seeks forgiveness for past sins by moving to Los Angeles where he can help the oppressed masses by beating on his own kind. Supporting characters played by Julie Benz, Charisma Carpenter, and Elizabeth Röhm add some much needed eye candy to ensure the dark surroundings don’t have the teens reaching for the razors, and after seeing Benz’s topless turn in Darkdrive, it isn’t her blood you’ll be wanting to suck.
