Brought together through an arranged marriage, Johnny (Bayani Agbayani) and Jenny (Rufa Mae Quinto) don’t have the heart to tell their friends and families that they’re each gay. It’s this awkward romantic bind that infuses the Filipino film Baliktaran: Si Ace at si Daisy (2001) with sadness and humor. Struggling through their marriage until the end, the couple does the best to hide their true selves. In a lengthy swimming scene, however, Quinto doesn’t do much to hide her ample bosom.
