A joint production of Argentinean and Spanish talent and resources, this historical romantic drama tracks the improbable but inevitable love affair between the wife of a Communist leader imprisoned by the Franco regime at the end of World War II and a Nazi industrialist in the process of buying passage and a new identity for a fresh start in Argentina. The word conflicted only begins to describe this proud woman’s passion. Her political ideals, the travails endured by her family and comrades at the hands of cruel Fascists, her ethnic and tribal loyalties, all must be cast aside for the sake of her all-consuming infidelity. Hers is a love story that mocks the notion of living happily ever after.
