Based on real life neurologist Dr. Oliver Sacks, Zachary Quinto’s Dr Oliver Wolf is a gay, motorcycle-riding, Jewish man with face blindness whose unconventional yet mostly successful methods have gotten him fired from a few hospitals. Thanks to old friend Dr. Carol Pierce (Tamberla Perry), the gruff, House-like solver of medical mysteries is now heading a neurology unit at Bronx General Hospital, where he’ll team up with interns Erika (Ashleigh LaThrop), Van (Alex MacNicoll), Dana (Aury Krebs), and Jacob (Spence Moore II) to unlock the secrets behind different challenging psychological cases each week. At first, Wolf clashes with neurosurgeon Dr. Josh Nichols (Teddy Sears), but they eventually go from adversaries to lovers. The real shift though happens in Season 2, which begins by revealing that Wolf has been institutionalized and then starts to recount the six months prior in order to piece together what caused the brilliant doctor to break down. Meanwhile, Season 2 also sees Aury getting hot an heavy with Mishel Prada’s Katie Rodriguez in the premiere episode. This steamy girl-on-girl action is just what the doctor ordered!
