An uptight lawyer named Peter Sanderson is still madly in love with the wife that left him. In an attempt to move on he gives the world of online dating a try and winds up chatting with a woman named Charlene Morton, who, when he eventually meets her, sees she wasn’t all that she claimed to be. She’s an escaped prison inmate who claims innocence and wants Peter to help her preserve her freedom by staying out of the slammer. When Peter disagrees, Charlene proceeds to wreak havoc in his life by screwing up any chance of getting back together with his wife, as well as ruining relationships with very wealthy prospective clients.
