Caught Stealing (2025) is the eighth feature film from Darren Aronofsky (Requiem for a Dream, Black Swan), set in a pre-9/11 New York City where former MLB prospect Hank Thompson (Austin Butler) works as a bartender. Loathe to change his daily routine, even at the behest of his paramedic girlfriend Yvonne (Zoë Kravitz), but when Hank agrees to cat-sit for his punk rock neighbor Russ (Matt Smith), it turns out that everyone and their Russian Jewish mother is looking for Russ, who absconded with money owed to several different major criminal organizations.
