In Child Under a Leaf (1974), a Canadian heart-tugger of unfaithful love, eternally sensual blonde Dyan Cannon is squeezed through the emotional wringer as a married woman who finds herself in the amorous embrace of a young artist who is not her husband. The man Dyan wed has become a bitter and abusive shell of the past, and she would leave him for her new beau, if not for her fear of emotionally damaging her child. When the child unexpectedly dies, Cannon is confronted with hard questions and fails to find any easy answers. She does, however, strip to take a bath in the company of her baby and her artist lover.
