A police detective falls for the wrong sophisticate in Patrice Leconte’s saucy French crime drama Circulez y'a rien à voir (1983). Michel Blanc stars as Inspector Leroux, a lovelorn gumshoe who grows smitten with the dashing Madam Duvernet (Jane Birkin). Unbeknownst to Leroux, the luxurious lady is actually at the center of the art-smuggling trade, and soon the cop must decide whether she’s worth breaking the law for.
