The French romantic comedy Cliente (2009) is a sort of Belle de Jour in reverse, telling the story of Marco (Eric Caravaca), a hunky construction worker who spends his nights working as a male prostitute under the name of Patrick to help support his wife’s (Isabelle Carré) hair salon. But complications arise when one of his clients (Nathalie Baye) falls in love with him and his wife finds out what he’s been up to.
