For Cloistered Nun: Runa’s Confession (1976), directed by cult auteur Masaru Konuma, is a sexy but brutal S&M take on the world of Christ’s brides. Pop star Runa Takamura, of the group Golden Halves, stars as the naked nun of the title. Her character’s a sad sack who joins the convent after her slutty stepsister, Kumi Taguchi, steals her man. This is when things get really bad. Runa is ravaged by a priest and worse and eventually seeks her revenge with a bogus scheme to promote Catholicism in Japan. It’s pretty serious stuff for a sexy nun flick. Thankfully that heaviness is balanced by nearly a half dozen skin scenes from Runa. That’s enough to raise the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
