A stodgy tax collector gets a brash new apprentice in Das Ende einer Maus ist der Anfang einer Katze (2011). Erol Ozak (Hilmi Sözer) is a sensible man who has just been saddled with a feisty new protégé, Jana von Unruh (Natalia Christina Rudziewicz). But her gusto for the job leads Erol into a gunfight after she uncovers a bag of ill-gotten cash. A bag that mysteriously disappears after Erol crashes his car trying to escape.
