Set in the universe of Netflix’s other Neil Gaiman adaptation, The Sandman, this Max series follows two ghosts, Edwin Paine (George Rexstrew) and Charles Rowland (Jayden Revri) who solve the mysteries that can’t be solved by mortals. Other ghosts come to them with their unfinished business or cases of hauntings and curses, and they solve them - while also avoiding Death herself (Kirby) - all because nobody took to time to solve their own cases way back when. In the first episode, a Victorian ghost brings them the case of her living friend, Crystal Palace (Kassius Nelson), a medium who’s been possessed by a demon (David Iocono). They’re able to exorcise him, but he steals some of her memories in the process, so while they continue to help her, they use her psychic talents in their endeavors, like saving a missing girl from a witch. Crystal ends up renting a room from a butcher named Jenny Green (Briana Cuoco), and in episode five, Jenny shares a tender smooch with Lindsey Gort, so it’s no mystery why we hope this show gets more seasons!
