Dead in the Water (2001) is written, produced and directed by Brazilian Gustavo Lipsztein. It stars Dominique Swain and her boyfriend who are to go to their vacation home and work on their relationship. They bring their best friend, too. Why? We’ll never know. It does create some dramatic tension, as the best friend is hot for Dominique. Who wouldn’t be? Dominique is not cold on this fellow, either. They kiss. He dies. That creates even more problems for the couple. What could have been, and maybe still could be called, an erotic thriller is woefully lacking in nudity. As in it has none.
