A common soldier rides the wave of the German economic miracle in the farcical comedy Die Wilden Fünfziger (The Roaring Fifties) (1983). At the end of WWII, German Army interpreter Jacob Formann (Juraj Kukura) embezzles just enough money from the Americans to start his own chicken farm. That chicken farm soon grows into an industrial empire, but when the bubble bursts and Formann loses his business, he doesn't let it get him down. And with a foxy frau like the fully nude Christine Kaufmann by his side, it's easy to see why he's staying up.
