Nearly everyone’s familiar with this box-office hit, as Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story (2004) packed in audiences wanting to see humble Average Joe’s gym owner Vince Vaughn take on maniacal fitness icon Ben Stiller. Still, few were expecting the many bizarre twists while the film parodied the usual slob-vs.-snob comedy. There’s even a plot twist that got skinema fans twisting their shorts, with Christine Taylor--as a banker who’s helping out Vaughn--being confirmed as a lesbian when she gets a surprise Sapphic celebration smooch. But you can still hold out for a happy ending--“I’m bisexual,” she proclaims, while giving Vaughn a heated hetero kiss.
