Few starlets made more awesomely insane movies in the late 1980s and early ’90s than über-breast-implanted Sally Kirkland. Double Threat (1992) provides one loopy, loony standout example. Here, Sally portrays faded movie star Monica Martel on the set of a bleak attempt at a comeback movie. Andrew Stevens plays Monica’s bodyguard-turned-lover . . . at least until he starts banging her stand-in (naturally nay-nayed Sherrie Rose). Then somebody starts attempting to murder Miss Martel. Semi-fame . . . ain’t it a bitch?
