Ukranian-American vixen Vera Farmiga plays a young wife in Down to the Bone (2004) who appears to have it all—a devoted husband, fine children, and a lovely home. Unfortunately she's also got a life-threatening addiction to cocaine. Vera's performance is mesmerizing and moving, and the movie is eminently involving as it depicts her struggle to break her dependence on drugs while keeping everything else together.
