A sultry femme-bot kicks unexpectedly into Terminator mode in the tech-heavy sci-fi thriller Eve of Destruction (1991). Designed as a benevolent purveyor of artificial intelligence, robot Eve VIII (Renée Soutendijk) unexpectedly flips and begins a campaign of carnage and violence. It’s up to a weathered ex-cop (Gregory Hines) to find the off button before the sultry mechanical assassin triggers an explosion of nuclear proportions. Although she plays an android, actress Soutendijk is a superior female specimen, and she shows off her stellar anatomy in a pair of lip-smacking scenes.
