The fearsome foursome is back in Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (2007), and they're getting ready for . . . a wedding? Nerdlinger Ioan Gruffudd, a.k.a. Mister Fantastic, has finally screwed his head on straight and decided to go hitchville with Jessica Alba, a.k.a. The Invisible Girl, a.k.a. "What the hell were you waiting for, Iaon?! She's Jessica freaking Alba!" True to his fantastically distractable ways, however, Ioan can't seem to get his mind on the nuptials, as there are reports of strange, science-y doings in the sky. A comet-like object is hurtling toward Earth, triggering storms, blackouts, and other catastrophes. Oh, that's just fantastic! Get your mind back on Ms. Racktastic, Ioan! When the object arrives in Manhattan, the cosmically unlucky couple and their comic comrades The Human Torch (Chris Evans) and The Thing (Michael Chiklis) realize that it's not so much an "it" as it is a "he." It's the Silver Surfer (voice of Laurence Fishburne), and he's here to unearth Earth . . . literally. Now it's up to our heroes to save the planet from obliteration, all the while having to take on their old enemy, Victor Von Doom (Julian MacMahon).
