Every summer, Hugo (Félix Lefebvre) heads to the island of Noirmoutier with his family, but in his nineteenth year on earth the formerly portly teen not only has a svelte new body, but he’ll be accompanied by his brand new girlfriend, Queen (Anja Verderosa). Though they couldn’t be more different, they complement each other well. Queen’s flamboyant, outgoing attitude helps bring the introverted Hugo out of his shell. The more affluent young vacationers that Hugo hangs out with every year used to look down on him because of his station and weight, but now they’re snubbing their noses at Queen, a working-class beautician whose style makes her stand out. They’re probably just jealous, especially of the breakthrough performance by Anja, which earned her a Cesar Award (the French Oscars) nomination for Best Female Revelation. And speaking of revelations, Anja reveals her rack for the first time on screen here, setting hearts - and loins - on fire everywhere!
