Kathleen Turner plays a woman losing grip on reality in the steamy thriller Julia and Julia (1987). On Julia’s (Kathleen Turner) wedding day in Italy, she gets into a car accident with her new husband, Paolo (Gabriel Byrne) and he does not survive. She decides to stay in the city in a small apartment, until one day she mysteriously passes into different but parallel timeline in which her husband never died. Julia is overjoyed to be back in the life she always wanted, but starts to question her sanity when she switches back and forth between the two lifetimes.
