Historic hotties come to life in more ways than one in Kama Sutra: A Tale of Love (1996). Not to be confused with the Showtime series Kama Sutra (2000) or the R rated drama Tales of the Kama Sutra (1999), this skinternational flick explores jealousy, resentment, and sensuality from an Indian woman’s perspective. Co-written, co-produced, and directed by Indian-American filmmaker Mira Nair, the period piece sees Princess Tara (Sarita Choudhury) getting the royal shaft (and not in a good way) from her servant Tara (Indira Varma) — who sleeps with the ravishing regal’s betrothed before the wedding. The bitter servant eventually leaves to learn the ways of love and returns as a courtesan of the leader of an invading army. Throughout the course of the complicated story, the camera focuses in on the comely cast’s pretty skin. No wonder it won an Independent Spirit Award for Best Cinematography! Indeed, the flesh flashed in this film merits a standing ovation in our harem pants! Thanks to the candid coverage, we get to view Ms. Choudhury’s nude boobs at the 26-minute mark. Later, the topless babe gets groped by her doctor during a questionable check up. Not to be outdone, Ms. Varma relaxes in a bath, then rises to expose her full frontal nudity! In fact, she repeatedly reveals her rack during the movie. Breast of all is a sexy scene wherein Tara and Mara work out their differences in lesbianic fashion.
