An urban police drama, L.627 (1992) follows vice detective Lulu Marguet as he contends with the ruthless, morally repellent Parisian criminal underground. Even more repellant are his corrupt immediate superiors who stand in his way at every turn. Despite the long odds, Lulu manages to maintain his dignity through it all. What's not repellant is the exquisite long scene featuring Lara Guirao’s twin torpedoes and the bushy façade of her baby factory.
