Something is fishy about Isabelle Huppert’s libido in La Truite (1982). The film opens with the pouty-faced Izzy squeezing the sperm out of a dead trout, and we learn that things aren’t going exactly swimmingly in her marriage. Isabelle is suffering from a severe lack of sex because her homosexual husband has been unable to make boom boom in the bedroom. Now bitter, this horny housewife goes out and about to please only herself, looking to hook and harm every sexually deviant man she can get her hands on.
