When selling books proves to be unprofitable, a beautiful young woman decides to turn tricks on the side to make ends meet in Libertad provisional (1976). During one of her tête-à-têtes, she meets a man who turns out to be a thief. Realizing that they have much in common, they conspire to help each other out. First, however, he must do a stint in prison. When he is released, he resolves to help her run the bookstore and she resolves to help him become a better thief.
