The omnibus comedy Love Swindlers (1976) tells four stories, all set in and around 1970s Hong Kong. From a phony acupuncturist who accidentally murders his patient, to a cheating couple who double-cross one another after crossing their married partners, the Shaw Brothers-produced comedy is a treat from top to bottom. Of course, it doesn’t hurt that director Han Hsiang Li gets charismatic star turns from screen veterans Chen Ping and Shirley Yu. Ping strips to her birthday suit for a wild dalliance with a lucky stud, while Yu shows off her flexibility in a bout of naked bedroom gymnastics.
