The late night comedy show Mad TV is a follow-up to the extremely popular Mad magazine. Although the TV version is clearly a tad tamer than the often frank and explicit original, there is enough sharp tongued humor left to keep viewers watching for four years running. In the process of those four years Mad TV was nominated for a total of 28 awards, of which it won six (all of them for the outstanding hairstyling and make-up design). The structure of each episode is usually the same and includes impersonations, fake commercials or news broadcasts, and spoofs of movie trailers. In terms of nudity, there’s nothing on offer, but cast members Mo Collins and Debra Wilson came as close as American TV allows it. While Collins appeared wearing only her bra and panties, Wilson mostly stuck to some serious pokies and moderate cleavage.
