Raymond Chandler’s private dick has been given many faces over the years, but James Garner may win the title for best Philip Marlowe. He plays the titular famous detective in Marlowe (1969), which is based on the book The Little Sister. But our privates eye Rita Moreno, who is the real MVP here. Garner catches her in a most revealing striptease. Rita only gets as far as her pasties and thong before tragically meeting her demise onstage after being shot by a vengeful man. Still, it doesn't take a detective to spot Moreno's sex appeal!
