Assistant DA Theresa (Joan Severance) is working on a huge case, but when it crosses over to her personal life, who she can turn to is a Matter of Trust (1998).  Theresa is working the high-profile case of a suspected serial killer who shot a detective, and someone will do anything to makes sure she loses. Bizarre notes, a mutilated cat, and finally the disappearance of her neurotic husband. The only man she can turn to is disgraced detective Michael D'Angelo (C. Thomas Howell), but as her former lover, his motivations are unclear.
