In the winsome Hollywood romantic comedy Must Love Dogs (2005), a recent divorcée turns to the classifieds to remedy her luckless love life. Diane Lane stars as Sarah Nolan, a sweet-natured preschool teacher who’s weary of wading through the stagnant dating pool. Her sister (Elizabeth Perkins) takes initiative by placing a wanted ad online on her behalf, causing Nolan to borrow a canine in order to live up to her sister’s dog-lover portrayal. Love blossoms between Nolan and John Cusack, who fakes his love for dogs in order to win her heart. One look at Lane’s sensational body, however, should be enough to convince you that the ruse was worth it.
