A Mexican ménage of nicely enticing nudity, wanton women wrestlers, and a gargantuan amount of gore shots, Night of the Bloody Apes (1968) was top banana in the shock department in 1968. A deranged doctor, desperate to save his son, performs a transplant with the heart and blood of a gorilla. Upon recovering, the boy turns into a beastly ape man on a mission to rip the clothes off women wrestlers and the faces off random men. Meanwhile, devil girl wrestler Lucy socks the snot out of her cat woman opponent and accidentally kills her. When her detective boyfriend is sent to investigate, gorilla guy adds more corpse-crushing monkey shines to an already outrageous ensemble of guts and gory glory.
