Outlaw Blues (1977) is a drama starring Peter Fonda and Susan Saint James. She helps him, an ex-convict, go after the country music star who stole his and and made it a hit. Kris Kristofferson was offered the male lead, but turned it down to do the trucker hit Convoy (1978). That’s a shame, for him, because he missed bedding down that perfect 1970s sex symbol, Susan.
