Perros callejeros (1977) concerns the exploits of a juvenile gang that is led by the charismatic El Torete. The gang hails from the poor side of town and all of their crimes, seen in the context of their upbringing, seem to have a weird logic. Bank robberies, auto theft, and the like all highlight the inequities of income in Spain. Christa Leem sashays around her apartment showing off gorgeous chalupas and booty.
