Psych-Out (1968) is all one big plastic hassle for poor Susan Strasberg, a lovely young deaf-mute who has to track down her brother amongst all the other hippies in 1968 San Francisco. She shouldn’t expect to find him in very good shape, either. The last she heard from him was a postcard talking about how he found God in a sugar cube. Fortunately, Jack Nicholson and his happy hippie friends are around to help her search--and to help Susan strip down amongst some groovy communal living.
