The bizarre Italian comedy Romanzo popolare (1974) follows the surprisingly rocky marriage of fifty-one-year-old Giulio (Ugo Tognazzi) and his seventeen-year-old goddaughter, Vincenzina (Ornella Muti). Mr. Tognazzi died in 1990 of a cerebral hemorrhage. Anyone else with circulatory problems should make sure to have their medication handy before watching Ornella’s naked roll in the hay.
