A mild-mannered bank-employee transforms into a Robin Hood figure in Schwerkraft (2009). Bank loan clerk Frederik (Fabian Hinrichs) lives an uninteresting life, working fastidiously at his job and spending his lonely evenings spying on his ex-girlfriend Nadine (Nora von Waldstätten). One day after he refuses a loan to a desperate customer, the man pulls out a gun and shoots himself in front of Frederik. The ordeal makes Frederik reassess his life, and with the help of his old friend Vince (Jürgen Vogel), who just got out of prison, Frederik starts breaking in to rich customer’s houses and distributing money to the needy. As he sheds his inhibitions, Frederik starts getting involved in more violent crimes, and he must stop his descent before he goes too far.
