Select Hotel (1996) is a flophouse in France. Yeah, it’s depressing, “thoughtful” cinema, but mostly what’s flopping are Julie Gayet’s floppers. She plays a prostitute who has seen better lays but still has enough kick in her to tighten audiences' pants. Julie is the kind of skin gambler everyone likes; she raises her two pair with a full house, bush over bottom.
