Created by TV guru Stephen J. Cannell, the sexy cop drama Silk Stalkings was originally part of CBS’s late-night Crimetime after Primetime programming block, which allowed the show to explore more adult themes. Set in the glitzy world of Palm Beach, Florida, Silk Stalkings featured several different versions of a flirtatious male-female detective team. From 1991 to 1995 Rob Estes and Mitzi Kapture were the leads. After they left the show, the new and less popular duo of Nick Kokotakis and Tyler Layton replaced them. This pair was in turn replaced by Chris Potter and Janet Gunn after half a season. One of the most captivating parts of this show is the way the writers treated relationships with great action and adventure coupled with incredible long term story and character development which inevitably lead to irresistible entertainment value! Perhaps the best part about it is the late night aspect, which means it was more likely to feature sexy content than many of the other shows on during the day. The series centers around a team of cops investigating murders, scandals, drug crimes, sex crimes, and more involving high class escorts. They all involve the very rich and well to do people of Palm Beach, Florida. The quality of the series wavered a little bit in the latter seasons, but you really can't go wrong with binging the vast majority of this show, wherever you can find it. Mr. Skin just wishes it could have scored a late night spot on HBO or somewhere where the boob, butt, and bush shots would be more acceptable!
