That may explain why, after being told the tale of a serial killer with a carved-up "Smiley" face who lives online and appears after unwitting thrill-seekers type in "I did it for the lulz" three times, she doesn't laugh it off. No, instead she becomes obsessed with this urban legend and starts seeing Smiley's carved-up face everywhere she goes. Has the killer been released from the Internet?
