Generally the worst part of apartment living is putting up with the neighbors. The cool, reflective taxi driver who moves into a down-market complex in the Korean soul-chiller Sorum (2001) would be hard-pressed simply to put up with the daily beatings inflicted upon the housewife across the hall. But the overbearing and violent husband is not content with tormenting his spouse. He will not rest until he has creeped out every other resident of the house. Do they not know the details of a mysterious, unsolved murder that occurred thirty years ago, under the very roof where the taxi driver now so fitfully sleeps? After learning that a previous occupant burned to death in his room, the cabby careens along the road to nightmare alley, taking viewers with him.
