Jesse Bradford is a teenage dreamer who wants to be a speedster in Speedway Junky (1999), the tale of a kid who gets detoured on his way to the finish line and finds himself broken down on life's backroads. After running away from home to go race cars, Jesse ends up stalled in Las Vegas without a penny to his name. His life is totally out of gas—and then he meets a group of trick-turning street toughs who take him under their broken wings. Hustler Jordan Brower is the first to befriend Jesse, and he introduces him to his pals Jonathan Taylor Thomas and Tiffany-Amber Thiessen, a pleasing teaser who doffs top to show off her boffo—but bra-bound—headlights. Daryl Hannah also makes an appearance, and she's a total delight as always playing an ex-prostie hottie who serves as surrogate mom to the troubled teen menagerie.
