Besties since eighth grade, Jamie (Kiernan Shipka) and Ben (Nico Hiraga) are now freshmen attending Densen College together out-of-state while struggling to maintain their long-distance relationships with others. Jamie’s boyfriend is Simon (Charlie Hall), a football player at Harvard, while Ben is dating Claire (Ava DeMary), who is still a senior at their old high school. They both decide to dump their significant others over Thanksgiving break, but their perfect plans are foiled by a series of unpredictable events. Meanwhile, another cohort of theirs, Palmer (Caleb Hearon), returns from working at a bakery near Disneyland Paris, fully intent on coming out to everybody via a "petit soiree." Kiernan manages to turn Thanksgiving into Spanksgiving when she doffs her dress and snaps a mirror selfie in just her black bra and undies, right before she ends up hiding behind a door with a pantsless and passed-out Subho Basu.
