A group of Romanian teenagers come of age at the beginning of WWII in The Beheaded Rooster (2007). High school friends Felix (David Zimmerscheid), Hans (Axel Moustache), Alfa (Ioana Iacob), and Gisela (Alicja Bachleda-Curus) all live in a culturally diverse community at the base of the Carpathian Mountains, an area that has long been allied with Nazi Germany. But with WWII imminent Romania makes the switch to the Allied side, leaving their small town in a flux.
