Nude: The Betsy 1978 Nude Scenes

Mr. Skin misses the skinematic ’70s — when A-listers like Laurence Olivier and Robert Duvall starred in unabashed trash vehicles like The Betsy (1978). Based on Harold Robbins’s racy 1971 novel of the same name, the pot-boiling plot features fast cars and faster women! Considered to be one of the “100 most enjoyably bad movies ever made” in The Official Razzie Movie Guide, this R rated flick follows an auto manufacturing patriarchy led by Loren Hardeman Sr. (Olivier) yet really run by his son Loren Hardeman III (Duvall). Luckily, the pic is more about pleasure than doing business. This is definitely the case when naked Lady Ayres (Lesley-Anne Down) goes down on auto racer Angelo Perino (Tommy Lee Jones). The skintastic act shows off her butt crack and a bit of her rack. Looks like this lady is a tramp! The romantic saga also includes Jane Alexander and Edward Herrmann fresh off their portrayals of the First Lady and FDR in the miniseries Eleanor and Franklin (1976). But our votes go to Sally Hardeman (Katharine Ross) for being the chest-baring breastfeeder in chief! Not to be outdone, Betsy (Kathleen Beller) goes full frontal when she skinny-dips in the pool — all while in driver Angelo’s view. We love seeing wetsy Betsy too! In another scene, her huge nude headlights can be seen when the two ride each other in the greenhouse. Clearly, Ms. Beller can get any man’s motor running. No doubt, that’s why her character inspired the titular car. Vroom! Vroom!
