Out-of-work actor John Person (Jon Favreau), with dreams of being debt-free, takes his nutty neighbor (Bud Cort) up on an outlandish offer to deliver a blue suitcase to a man in the desert in The Big Empty (2003). In exchange for $28,000, John must hand off the midnight Samsonite to the meat-monikered Cowboy (Sean Bean) at a truck stop in Baker, California. En route, John gets his Johnson a bit bent over a bevy of heavenly bodies and the alien-obsessed, loony local yokels. When Cowboy keeps dodging him like a bull with a bad attitude, and the fruitcake who sent him turns up missing, will John be able to conquer the terror of his rocky terrain and finally fill his big empty life with more than just thriving and surviving?
