Expert craftsman Halim (Saleh Bakri) runs a small shop that sells caftans with his wife Mina (Lubna Azabal) in Morocco. He’s the seamster who makes the orders entirely by hand while she mans the front, taking orders and handling customer complaints about them not being fast or modernly fit enough. They hire a young apprentice named Yousseff (Ayoub Missioui) to help them with the workload, and Halim’s talent and delicacy awakens an attraction within Yousseff that seems to be reciprocated as the two men form a bond under Mina’s watchful eye. Perhaps the hesitancy to act on it, however, comes from all that the couple has gone through together, as is demonstrated when Lubna and Saleh share a tender moment taking off her shirt and revealing a mastectomy scar on one of her lovely lactoids.
