Eddie Murphy is a social worker in Los Angeles who tracks down lost little angels in The Golden Child (1986), Eddie's follow-up to his Trading Places (1983) and Beverly Hills Cop (1984) successes. Eddie's been chosen to get a chosen kiddo, J.L. Reate, back from the devil's local rep Charles Dance. It seems that J.L. is one hell of a special small fry—he's got special powers and was sent to Tibet to heal the Earth of all its ills. But now that he's been abducted by Beelzebub, Eddie—at the behest of a Tibetan priestess played by Her Royal Hotness Charlotte Lewis—is off on an adventure to save the world . . . and maybe even get the girl.
