Mankind’s last refuge is a sterile facility where survivors flee to escape Earth’s toxic horrors in Michael Bay’s sci-fi blockbuster The Island (2005). Like his fellow inhabitants, Lincoln Six-Echo (Ewan McGregor) is convinced that he’s one of the few humans lucky enough to find a spot on “The Island”--a utopia free from the horrors of a polluted planet.
