As mazes go, The Labyrinth of Sex (1969) doesn’t sound like a bad place to get cornered for a night. Perennial B-queen favorite Jayne Mansfield takes the lead in the unabashedly bizarre faux-documentary, which explores coital quirkiness from across the globe. From squirm-inducing live-birth footage to candid depictions of taboo sex that drip with Freudian symbolism, Alfonso Bresci’s “mondo” montage boasts plenty of hoots and hooters, though it’s sadly bereft of Mansfield’s mammaries. Serving as capable substitutes are Gioia Desideri and Orchidea de Santis, who treat connoisseurs of erotica to a taste of the exotic.
