Jen (Isla Fisher) and Eric (Greg Kinnear) are married and have three children: Emma (Shay Rudolph), Max (Mason Shea Joyce), and Taylor (Easton Rocket Sweda), who have no idea that their parents’ relationship is on the rocks. One day they receive a delivery: a broken grandfather clock that’s apparently an old family heirloom. It’s put in the basement where Taylor, a nonverbal autistic child who communicates through a soundboard, is able to get the clock running again. However, it turns out to be no ordinary clock, but a device to travel back in time by turning back the hands. When Jen and Eric announce their plan to separate at the dinner table, a distressed Taylor rewinds the day to try and change his parents’ mind, and when it doesn’t work he enlists Emma and Max to help pull off his pre-Parent Trap-meets-Groundhog Day scheme and save their family. Family is the operative word - it’s a family film, so no nudity to be had, however, after the couple gets their mojo back with some off-screen afternoon delight, we are gifted some glorious cleavage from Isla in a tank top. That’s the real present!
